The Labor day weekend.
As a teenager in Ohio County I found that life changed when I moved to Hancock County. I didn't play soft ball like most the girls and I didn't know anyone. I cried for 2 months and gained 30 lbs that summer. But the day school started my life transformed.
Being new I had to talk to people I had never met. I loved the people I met and the school . My goal while in high school was to know everyone and accept them, for who they where. I loved you if you where rich or poor, I didn't care. Everyone who knew me accepted me , just the way i was. I wasn't an honor student I hated history, and didn't enjoy being the president of FHA.
It's amazing what some teens preceive others to be. We think they have the perfect life and have everything they want.
If we would just sit back and look at the big picture. We find out that our best freinds had death knocking on there doors. We find out the family had major problems. We don't live in a perfect world. But we have to try to make it better.
To do that look around see who you can make a diffrence. Maybe donate a dollar to St judes, be a mentor to a young boy who gets in touble.
But stop and smell those flowers and give that hug.
Thinking of you all today. Pam

My best friend!
It's amazing how God sends different people in your life. After high school I was blessed to have many friends. But then God sent a new friend.
Her name was Tammy Thompson she lived one block from my house. I didn't know her in high school, she hung out with a different group of friends. I never talked to her in high school, I had no clue who she was and she had no clue who Pam Schroader was.
But one day she came into my life the spring after we graduated. Tammy has been a wonderful friend who has been there for me during losing many lost ones. She always had the right words to say . Tammy has always took a moment to listen to my hurts and had joy with my success on any project. We have never had a hurt feeelings in 25 years during this beauiful friendship.
How did Tammy enter my life? Ricky, of course . After high school Rick and I broke up and Ricky started dating different girls. One night Tammy went out with Ricky and ended up with his best friend at the time Dan. The rest is history Dan and Tammy have been happly married fro 25 years in March. Dan has always been as good to me as Tammy has. Each year we celebrate our birthdays together and take just a moment to be together.
Wow time flies when your having fun! Pam

Deleted on a Friday, and my heart stood still... Da doo run run
I love the modern age of getting film printed in seconds and moving on to the next project. Recently, I thought I would delete everything on my camera as soon as I got to the car. I just had a new disk made with the pictures, I had created.
Well.... you guessed it. I zapped everything from the class reunion and some pictures of weddings I had attended during teh summer. I hope someone else took pictures and can post them. Tracy what about the ones you made? Somebody help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Special Thanks: to Dean Boling for calling and getting everyone in gear for this special night. Dean, sorry you could not make it.
Thanks also goes to Karl Pate for paying for us to have the reunion at the country club. A big Thank you to Carole and Jackie Roberts, for getting the addresses on a email sheet.
We did receive a phone call from Jamie Bullis when we were trying to locate everyone.
Prayers for Melissa CLem-Smith she has battled MS for a couple of years. Melissa is an inspiration, and she continues to push forward.
We continue to look for about 5 people. I will ask Nita Potts-Graham to post those.
Something to think about .... Success is more sweet spots than skicky notes.
Have a great day, Pam

Hello!
I would have loved to be at the reunion, but as I told Pam, I was swamped with activities that weekend. Would have loved to see all of you.

25 years and getting older
Just a note to say "Thanks" to Kitty Cook, Carole Roberts, Nita Potts Graham, Shelia Hayden, Gary and Suzanna Lamar for helping to plan our 25th reunion. I feel it was the best one we have ever had.
Kevin Hanks band did a great job. I loved the old favorites being played with such excitement!
They don't make music like that anymore.
Flowers were sent toDennis Newton's mom in memory of him. We do this when we have a class reunion.
Billy Barlett's Family- We have not sent anything to his family. When someone gets an address, we will be happy to send something.
What a blessing each and everyone of of you have been during this stage in life. Many have had to go through, losing our mothers, fathers and family. I know it has not been easy! Just know that you have friends standing and saying a prayer for you.
Alot of us our starting to have the empty nest. Wow can you believe it? Oh and medical problems, getting old is rough. The body cannot move like it did when we were 18.
Please keep Kevin Coon, in Prayer he is currently home and not doing very good. Kevin has been ill in the hospital.
Carolyn Horsley- Edwards - Was in hospital in Nashville with heart problems.
Please add your favorite pictures to the blog. I will try to add some this weekend. Have a great day and please when you post something, make it a positive comment. This is so we can stay in touch with each other and find those who have not attended the class reunion.
Love you all, Pam Schroader Bolen
